Egbert Stellinga
As Product Marketing Manager, I take care of Sentech’s product marketing activities. The fundamental basis for this lies in our portfolio plan, in which, among other things, we carefully align the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place and Promotion) with the needs of the market.
My professional journey started in 1992 when I graduated from HTS mechanical engineering. As one of the last conscripts, I chose to pursue officer training. With the motto “if you do something, do it properly,” I served 18 months and waved goodbye as a lieutenant. I almost immediately then joined AMP (now TE Connectivity), where I worked in various positions for 25 years. From Product Engineer, responsible for the design of RJ connectors, to department manager in the factory. My time as Global Product Manager from 2007 to 2021 gave me the opportunity to work in various market sectors, including mobile, industrial and rail. A can do mentality prevailed at TE, where I developed solid product strategies with energy and dedication.
I first crossed paths with Sentech at the end of my career at TE. I heard about this company and became impressed with their transparent and people-oriented approach. Although it was too early for a switch at that time, I continued to follow Sentech. After 2.5 years at Phoenix Contact as Product Manager Device Connectivity, I decided to join Sentech. I am glad that I am now part of this young, dynamic team where we do not avoid any challenge and strive for the best result together.
I am married with Baukje and proud father of two sons. Together we live in Esbeek, a small village close to Hilvarenbeek. In this village I am dedicated to cycling. My passion for (endurance) sports started in my youth with running. I am now an honorary member of Taxandria Athletics. Nowadays you can find me more often on a mountain bike, swimming or climbing to keep in shape. During the vacations I like to go to the mountains, where my sports skills are very useful. When I have enjoyed enough sports, I make furniture for our fine home.
